Chicago & Northwestern Depot

The Historic Chicago & Northwestern Depot was constructed in 1887 and served the town until 1962. Trains no longer pass through or stop at the depot, as it was dismantled after permission to abandon it was granted, but the right-of-way is still visible today.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Dwight Depot contains Chicago & Northwestern memorabilia, while the former living quarters remain vacant. Save for a few minor alterations by its current owners, the depot is very close in its appearance as it was in 1887.
